Why Choose Titleist Pro V1x Golf Balls over Pro V1 balls?
Titleist Pro V1x golf balls have a firmer, more solid feel, but Titleist Pro V1s tend to be a bit softer. A firmer ball can be a better choice for an experienced golfer, helping you to maximise the velocity of your shots. Skilled golfers will also find that the unique dimple pattern used on the Titleist Pro V1x balls results in a higher flight than the pattern used for regular Pro V1s.
The overall construction of these balls is also very different. A Pro V1 has three layers, but the Titleist Pro V1x uses a four-layer construction, as well as an iconic high-gradient dual core. This results in a ball that can achieve a slightly better wedge and iron spin than its counterpart.

The two-year gap between editions of the Pro V1x was put to good use by engineers at Titleist, who have worked to make this the best ball it can be.
Starting with the already-impressive 2023 Pro V1x Golf Balls, Titleist have worked to adapt and improve this ball, and have managed to create a ball with a truly elevated performance through a lot of trials and testing. This new golf ball promises improved speed off the tee thanks to the high-flex casing layer. You can also expect an increased spin on the green—exactly when you need it most. The new, high-gradient core aims to give you ultimate control through more wedge and iron spin.

Almost immediately after the 2023 Pro V1 and Pro V1x were launched, Titleist began talking to golfers and asking what further improvements they could make for the 2025 edition. The #1 request: additional spin in short irons and around the green.
This feedback fed Titleist's R&D process. The company's engineers looked carefully at every aspect of the golf ball to find opportunities for optimisation, and as a result, the new-generation Pro V1 and Pro V1x are better than ever before!
